View map Free EventThis reading features Steve Wilson, winner of the 2021 Calvino Prize in Fabulist Fiction, as selected by judge Matt Bell. Wilson will read from his winning short story, "Ted," followed by a discussion with UofL’s Creative Writing Program director, Ian Stansel.
Steve Wilson lives in Oakland, California with his wife, eleven-year-old daughter and four-year-old son. He recently graduated from the MFA program at San Francisco State University. Before that, he worked with environmental nonprofits, was Jeeves at Ask Jeeves, graduated from Stanford Law School, and now works as an attorney for tech companies whose mission is to promote user privacy. This is his first major publication. He is currently working on a collection of speculative fiction and developing a novel.
