Molecular medicines have made tremendous inroads in therapy. However, the expression of markers used to match these therapies to patients can vary from patient to patient. It is increasingly clear that new technologies are required to identify new drug targets and to match patients to those therapies. Using examples from our work, I will describe cancer therapeutic development from discovery to implementation that includes models to identify new therapeutic targets and diagnostic technologies to match patients to therapies.
