We would like to welcome our Doctor of Social Work program faculty, Dr. Lacey McNary to offer perspective on other career pursuits after graduating with a masters or doctorate degree. If you are curious about consulting from the lens of social work, join in on this virtual event.
M. Lacey McNary, DSW, MSW, is an accomplished macro-level social worker and child advocate with over 20 years of experience specializing in child advocacy, public policy development, and organizational consulting. She is the CEO of McNary Group, LLC and serves as an Associate Professor at the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville, where she has been instrumental in developing curriculum for Master's and Doctoral level courses in public policy. Lacey holds a Doctorate of Social Work from Spalding University and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Her work is fueled by a commitment to systemic change, focusing on anti-racist practices to improve the well-being of children, families, and communities.
Recognized for her strategic leadership, Lacey has a proven track record of facilitating impactful partnerships, securing over $3.5M in funding for youth homelessness initiatives, and consulting on coalition development and public policy improvements. Her areas of expertise range from stakeholder engagement and campaign planning to evaluation and research. Beyond her professional roles, Lacey is an active community member, serving as an advisor on political campaigns and participating in various boards and committees focused on social welfare and community development.
