The 2017 Ballard Morton New Venture Competition will feature two teams of MBA students from the UofL College of Business competing for start-up capital for their innovative business concepts.  At stake for the first place team is $7,000, plus a Tax Service Award from Mountjoy Chilton Medley, LLP, and an automatic invitation to compete in the 2018 Cardinal Challenge or Idea State U. (Kentucky’s statewide business concept and business plan competition). There are also cash prizes for Best Trade Show Presentation, Best Fast Pitch Presentation and Best Business Plan Presentation. In all, nearly $20,000 will be awarded to the competing teams.

Competing teams are:

ICHOR, which offers an portable cold therapy for athletes’ post-workout recovery;

Mindful Mix, a naturally sweetened, superfood-infused drink mix.
