Inclusive Teaching Circles are small, consistent groups of faculty, lecturers, and graduate teaching assistants who are dedicated to teaching that is inclusive and equitable for all students. At these monthly 90-minute meetings, participants will discuss readings, share ideas, explore new teaching strategies, and provide mutual support for the work of inclusive education. Lunch will be served for in-person sessions.

How do we incorporate community engagement in our scholarship and teaching? This ITC will explore ways to integrate community engagement into our courses in multiple ways including, but not limited to, service-learning projects and engaged research. We will consider barriers students may face in participating. We will work together on syllabi and/or assignments. We will use the UofL Community Engagement Handbook and explore other online resources found at the Office of Community Engagement.

REGISTRATION CLOSES on Friday, September 9, 2022.

Facilitators:  Lauren Heberle (Sociology), Lora Haynes (Psychology) and Sherri Wallace (Political Science)
