A&S Inclusive Teaching Circles
Inclusive Teaching Circles are small, consistent groups of faculty, lecturers, and graduate teaching assistants who are dedicated to teaching that is inclusive and equitable for all students. At these monthly 90-minute meetings, participants will discuss readings, share ideas, explore new teaching strategies, and provide mutual support for the work of inclusive education. Lunch will be served for in-person sessions.
How do we create inclusive classrooms? This ITC will discuss how to create inclusive classrooms using a variety of approaches, methods, and techniques. The sessions will be informal discussions designed to improve student engagement and success in the classroom. The guiding text will be What Inclusive Instructors Do: Principles and Practices for Excellence in College Teaching by Tracie Marcella Addy, Derek Dube, Khadijah A. Mitchell, and Mallory E. SoRelle (Stylus Publishing, 2021). Books will be ordered for ITC participants. Must register in advance.
REGISTRATION CLOSES on Friday, September 9, 2022.
