African American Music Heritage Institute

African American Music Heritage Institute, featuring jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford, who was the featured vocalist with the Count Basie Band for nine years. Since then, Bradford has embarked on a successful solo career. She’s performed on four Grammy Award-winning albums, sixteen recordings and keeps a rigorous, world-wide touring schedule.

The mission of the African American Music Heritage Institute is to provide an educational and enrichment experience in music from the heritage of African Americans and the diaspora.
