African American History Month Film Series

In celebration of African American History Month, and in collaboration with the Louisville Free Public Library, the University of Louisville Health Sciences Center Office of Diversity and Inclusion will offer an African American Film Series on each Sunday in February. Films to be screened are “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” (Feb. 3), “Moonlight” (Feb. 10), “Black Panther” (Feb. 17) and “Thirteenth” (Feb. 24).

All screenings begin at 2 p.m. and are followed by panel discussions with UofL faculty, representatives of community organizations, and members of the public. The discussions will take on prominent issues raised in the films, including medical ethics, voting rights, and the African American LGBTQ+ community.

The screenings are free, but reservations are requested; call 574-1623 to reserve your spot.
