The University of Louisville’s Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research is sponsoring its 16th Annual Social Justice Research Paper Awards and is introducing its new Social Justice Multimedia Awards, in collaboration with the Digital Media Suite’s Cardinals Create Showcase. Students from ALL disciplines are encouraged to apply. The multimedia and paper submissions must engage at least one social justice topics and follow other guidelines (full details on our website).  

Awards for paper submissions include (1) $250 award for best undergraduate essay and (1) $500 award for best graduate essay. One award of $250 will be given to the best multimedia submission (both undergraduate and graduate students will be considered). 

Additionally, all Multimedia Awards submissions will be automatically forwarded to the UofL Digital Media Suite to be considered for their spring Cardinals Create Showcase.  


Multimedia Submissions due by Monday, March 20th by 11:59pm 
Paper Submissions due by Monday, April 24th by 11:59pm
