2021 Celebration of Teaching & Learning

The theme for the university’s annual teaching conference this year is Caring for Our Community. We are facing immense challenges: a global pandemic, social justice and racial inequities in our community, and unprecedented changes to how we teach and reach our students.

The Cardinal Principle of Community of Care reminds us to be mindful and respectful of the struggles our students and colleagues are facing, but also to work toward building an antiracist institution were everyone is valued, included, and offered the opportunity to thrive and succeed. This is something we do, not just something we are.

This year's conference will be held online and features a moderated discussion with President Neeli Bendapudi and Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum, a leading higher education thought leader on creating inclusive campus environments.
