2019 Warns-Render Labor and Employment Law Institute
The University of Louisville School of Law presents the 36th Annual Carl A. Warns, Jr. and Edwin R. Render Labor and Employment Law Institute.
The Warns-Render Labor and Employment Law Institute provides high-quality continuing legal education to local and regional labor or employment law attorneys, human resource professionals, union representatives and other workplace experts.
The institute creates dialogue between academics, government officials and practitioners. The institute is an inclusive forum where employee, union and management-side representatives all feel welcome and benefit from the education provided.
The 2019 keynote speaker is Eugene Scalia, partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Mr. Scalia has a national practice handling a broad range of labor, employment, appellate and regulatory matters. He previously served as Solicitor of the U.S. Department of Labor.
