Dr. Abby Córdova is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Kentucky, and was the 2016-2017 Central American Visiting Scholar of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University. For the 17th Annual LALS Heritage Lecture: "Crime, Violence, and Migration: Consequences for Democracy in the Americas," she will present findings from her research on the causes of international migration and its political consequences for the United States and Latin America.
