The 17th Annual Anne Braden Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Kiese Laymon. Laymon is the Libbie Shearn Moody Professor of English and Creative Writing at Rice University. He is a MacArthur Fellow and the author of several best-selling literary works including Heavy: An American Memoir, Long Division, and How to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in America.
