Battle for Algiers: International Film Series, Star Wars edition

The Institute for Cultural Communication presents a series of international films that inspired Star Wars, all free to the public.

Starting February 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Speed Cinema, see Battle for Algiers, the Algerian uprising film that inspired Rogue One.

On March 1 at the Floyd Theatre 7pm, check out the sci-fi epic Metropolis that inspired Star Wars: A New Hope.

Finally on March 2 at the Floyd Theatre 7pm, see the Akira Kurosawa film Hidden Fortress, which inspired the plot and characters of Star Wars: A New Hope.
