7th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference

The 7th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference will be held from 5:30pm to 8:30pm Feb. 2nd in the Swain Student Activities Center’s Multipurpose Room. Doors open at 5:30pm with the program beginning at 6. Following, there will be a resource fair and refreshments.

Representatives from various community and campus organizations will be on hand to distribute information on resources for victims of human trafficking and survivors and provide information on how the community can get involved. We have found in the past that participants are passionate about taking action against human trafficking, but often do not have a clear idea of what to do. For this reason, we will be emphasizing the resource fair portion of the program. We want to give attendees concrete steps to take to get involved in the fight, and there is no better way to do this than through organizations on the ground.
